Video from small digital camera on blog?

Our little camera, Canon Power Shot A510, takes short videos. Is there a way to put them on my blog? The computer saves them in .avi.

You must upload the video to Yahoo! Video, YouTube, or Google Video (see which ones accept the .avi format). Check out the 360 post regarding how to embed a video into your blog and how to upload your own video to Yahoo! Video:
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-1qCkw2Eha... and the actual Yahoo! Video video post on uploading a video to Yahoo! Video at http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=12... .

Then, use the EMBED code generated to add the video to your blog.
- Find the embed code for the video that you want to add. See http://www.youtube.com/sharing , for example. Again, you can ONLY choose a video from Yahoo! Video, YouTube, or Google Video.
- Click on "My Blog" and create a new entry.
- Type some text in the actual entry space as well, as it might not save.
- Click the box next to "View HTML source" in the upper right of the entry space before adding code.
- Copy the embed code and paste it into the space.
- Click "Save" button and see if it appears. Click the box next to "View HTML source" to get back to regular view if necessary.

See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/blo... for the help page regarding embedding video into your blog.

windows media will convert them actually and then use a web hosting site to upload HTML.

Yes, it should, just make sure to check when uploading the video if really does accept avi!

Yes once you have them transfered onto your pc just upload them onto your blog.

Here are my pics - http://jaw0604.blogsource.com/

For vidoes you need to host them on a site like youtube ect.. then you can add them on your blog.

You could also somehow get your video transferred into animated gif format.
I have something calle gif construction set that can turn individual pictures into one animated gif file. That you can then use as an image on a web site or probably yahoo 360. You probably could use that program to take all the individual photos that the short video consisted of to make an animated gif file. Your camera software may be able totake your short video and separate out each frame as individual photos. There are video programs that can do this also. I think you can save them as animated gif files also.
