Camera and PSP?

i have a cable from my Canon digital camera that has the same end as needed for the PSP. so will it work if i plug it into my computer, or do i have to buy a cable especially for the PSP?

That cable will work. I use started out using my MP3 player's cord and it worked perfectly, but I desided it was a little short and used one from a camera and it worked perfect. No need to buy a new cable.
