i have a sony digital camcorder and a canon digital camera...how do i use either as a webcam?? I have a vivicam 3632 digital camera and even tho it's an older model, I use it as a webcam, so I believe you can use you canon as one as well. First look for your manual and if you can find it look online. If it says your cam is compatible, make sure you have a USB cable and a driver for your cam. Some newer computers have drivers for a variety of cams already installed, all you have to do is go to your Control Panel, click Scanners and Printers, and the rest should be self explanatory. The manual should let you know the basic things to do, and I didn't need any video capture software to do it.....so dont worry about that for now.. Hope this helps at least a little.
