Which digital camera brand is the best? Sony, Olympus or Canon and which model (consider price vs specs)?

Maybe if you guys post the model that you are actually talking about, it would be better

I ended up getting a Canon Compact Powershot, 4 megapixels, Digital Zoom, 13 MB card (comes with it) and an Executive Package (lens cleaner, 256MB card, 1 yr warr.) for around $300. This site will take you through al kinds of digital cameras from all sorts of stores. You can even choose what you want from it to shorten the search (how many pixels, brand name, digital zoom, compact or normal, etc.). Check it out.

The software that comes with the camera is so important.Have the sales person show you how the software works.Ask hard questions.

For some one who wants specifics you did not give many.......

Do you want a point and shoot?
a digital SLR?
One that has memory stick or cd?
Smart media cards?
Compact flash?

Big Camera or Little Camera...

I purshased the Kodak 10x optical zoom and I love it! It takes amazing pictures and for a 10x zoom lens it was a good price. It is also easy to use. I think the Canons are overpriced espically if you are just using it to take everyday pics. Go with Kodak.

I love my Kodak easy share Z740 great camera for the money . It takes the best pics of any camera I have ever had, the software that comes with it makes you look like a pro.
