i have a canon digital ixus 500 (similar to the powershot model) i dont know what happened but a few weeks ago the buttons on my camera dont work at all. All i can do is take pictures, i can view the pictures but i cant scroll through them, which means i cant delete them either, the only way to delete pictures is through the computer. The main buttons like menu, set, display,function dont work at all.
Any suggesstions to what i can do? You are lucky. Deleting single images on the camera is a sure way to corrupt your image index file that keeps track ot the images on your camera.
You may have to take the camera into an authorized Canon repair station and have them check it our.
In the future download all your images to the computer and then using the format feature on your camera, format the card. It looks like it needs repair |
