What compact digital camera brand is the best?Nikon,Sony or Canon? |
I'm considering the purchase of the following Nikon...simply because the Nikkor lenses are the best. Sony cybershot Dsc-T50, becaue of its better lense, great ISO, same megapixes, built in recharge battery and smaller size and lighter weight I like Canon point and shoot cameras, but if I was going to pick one from your list, the Sony T50 is the shizzle compared to the others. It costs about twice as much, so this is no surprise. If you "read owner opinions" on this page, the users rated the image quality as the lowest of the three, though. There are a very low number of reviews for any of the cameras. I have personally owned and operated both Nikon and Canon cameras, both in film and digital format. For MY money I would never own anything else. From what I've experienced with Sony they are a true 3rd contender in quality and performance. So, all three are good. Nikon being #1, Canon being #2, and Sony could be #3. For me, once I've picked the camera I'd like to have I consider how easy it will be to find someone who can fix it when/if it needs it. Nikon and Canon are at the top of THAT list. Since you've centered in on the top 3, the rest is up to you as to what features each one will work best with YOU. Truthfully these three cameras are all quite different! It depends on what you want. All three have great lens made by experts, all three are high in pixels not good for clarity but big big posters. all of them have big screens and image stablization they all have high iso for super low light conditions. The canon has a button on the bottom of the lens that allows you to put additional wide angle lens on if you like scenic pictures with mountains or for large groups of people, it also has a viewfinder that helps you out on sunny days cause the sun will block out your view on the screen the battieries are aa, youll have to invest in some battieries for it. The sony is small and stylish,it has a long lasting battery but because the zoom is internal you'll lose some flash range but it has no buttons it is touch screen it is kinda overkill for a camera. The nikon is the easiest t o use it has d-lighting that automaticly corrects your pictures . I love nikons I have one and will for years to come!! First of all I'm not the Canon鈥檚 fan. But I have some practice with Sony, Nikon and Canon digital cameras. In my opinion Sony made the best SLR for beginner -- the A100; Nikon made the best SLR-like -- the Coolpix 8700; and Canon's compacts such as Powershot A570, A630 etc. are really excellent. |
