I heard that canon is coming out with a digital camera?

I heard that it was going to be 10.0 megapixel and 15x optical zoom. Any one out there with information. I really appreciate your response Thank you

Does it have to be a Canon? I ask this because there are cameras out there with almost the same specs right now. As an example Sony DSC-H9 has a 15x zoom and 8 megapixel and Olympus SP 550uz has an 18x zoom with a 7.1 megapixel sensor. I know both of them are not the 10 megapixel you are looking for but, you won't see the difference between them unless you are planning to make bigger than 8 x10 prints. But if it has to be a Canon then.........

They have a couple out that are 10 mp but not seeing one that has the optical that you are talking about... try looking at different websites like walmart.com or target.com possibily even the canon website

There are plenty of 10mp Canons out there, but most are all SLRs, so the "optical zoom" depends solely on the lens you pick. I'm sure that you can get a telephoto lens that can reach the equivalent of 15x.

Look into the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. So far there are no point-and-shoots that reach that kind of resolution.
