How does one download photos from a digital camera into a PC? |
I have an older Canon IXY digital camera purchased in Tokyo, Japan in the year 2002. I lost the little cd-rom that came with it and got a new pc since. Anybody know a good way to download photos from my digital camera? If it's free, it's even better. Thanks. If you have your USB cord go to the Canon site and download the driver. Otherwise you need a media card reader which you can buy at Wal Mart for $20-30 take out the memory card and use a card reader to transfer the pics to your computer. According to the link below you have a CF memory card Depending upon the operating system you are using, just plugging in the camera to the computer, the correct drivers should install. Using an external card reader as suggested will work as well. if you have windows xp i know it has a scaner and printer wizard. Try pluging your camera in to your pc an and the new hardware wizard should install the drivers. good luck!! |
