My digital camera won't work! What should I do? |
I went to a X-Country meet, and took my Canon Powershot digital camera with me in my bag. But, I also had my big waterbottle, and it leaked allover in my bad. My camera case is really wet, and when I took my camera out it was a bit wet too. It won't turn on, and I even put new batteries in and tried to turn it on, and it won't work. The photos should still be on your card, although you will need a card reader to transfer them to your computer. Water damage sorry. You're out of luck! You have to take it to a camera shop and have it fixed. If you get some kind of insurance when you bought it, it should cover it. R.I.P. Canon Powershot. Its now a paperweight. Repairs will exceed the cost of a new camera so you may as well begin shopping. Yep....Canon Powershots are cheap cameras. My girlfriend has one...or should I say HAD one....even the slightest bit of moisture can damage them. Hers did when she went to the coast to visit friends. If it doesn't work after a couple of days of dry time...sell it for parts on Ebay. you shouldn't had turned it on. should let it dry for a couple of day then try Take the card out and the batteries out and let it dry for a day or so and then see what happens, if it still doesn't work, then you might have take it to the repair shot or shop for a new one. |
