1. do you know if you can use your own picture for the start-up pic. or record your own sounds for your startup sound, timer sound, snapshot sound etc.?
2. have you found any cool features that a new user probably wouldnt find?

There are so many specific steps and the manual shows the icons you need to look for that it would be silly to try to tell you how to do it here. It's all in the book, though. o33 Report It
