My digital camera is not working!!!!!!!!?

I have a Kodak digital camera and a canon camera. The kodak's battery cover won't close and the canon's lenses won't open when you cut it on. What should i do? I can't trust nobody too fix it but myself.

Unless it's fairly new or a DSLR, it probably not worth the money to repair it. Self repair may be possible although chances are slim. Does the canon power on (LCD etc working?) and the lens is just stuck? Try fresh batteries for a start too. Sometimes dying batteries can make the camera act wierdly as well.

like it or not its f####d!! I feel for you....its crap when technology wont do what is bloody supposed to do. try swearing at it lots it always works for me! and sure makes me feel better. Sounds like you got the wrong size batteries, or pehaps something is jammed in the door of it or the latch that holds is shut is broken. Look closer and check out the door of the battery holder!

yea, duct tape the Kodak and ditch the Cannon (it sounds like a power issue)

How can you not trust anyone else to do it, yet you come HERE of all places and ask for advice? Think about it... get a new camera or take yours in to get them fixed. How about that advice?
