and can i possibly set the shutter time less than 1"? how??
this is driving me crazy. Unfortunately, you can't control the aperture. The SD series is lacking that degree of user control. In the "M" settings, you can increase of decrease the exposure compensation, but that would not give you a choice over which parameter you are changing.
Your shutter is ALWAYS less than one second unless you jump through the hoops to make it more than one second. If that is what you want to do, see page 53-54 of your advanced manual to see all the steps.
Here's a brief description, but the illustrations in the manual help make it easier to udnerstand:
1. Press "FUNC"
2. Scroll to "+/- 0" - the exposure compensation selection
3. Press "MENU"
4. Use the left or right arrows on the multi-switch to increase or decrease the shutter speed.
You can go as long as 15 seconds. Be sure to use a tripod or otherwise stabilize your camera. Thanks. Not that you will see this, Antoni, but the SD-series "M" does not really allow manual control as you would expect it to. Report It
in auto it does it for you, if you want to do it put the camera into manual "M" - try the instruction book
