Users of Canon PowerShot 7.1MP Digital Camera A570IS......comments!!!?

Just wondering if 7.1MP would be goood enough or not??
What memory card is best to use with it?

It's my top recommendation in that price range for most people.

TomTom bought one after doing a lot of research for answers and that is a good endorsement. I've seen his photos and they are good, too.

The other Canon in this price class worth looking at is the A630. Oddly enough, it was selling for $184 at B&H for months and they just RAISED the price to $207. They usually go the other way, so there must be some demand for this camera.

While the A630 lacks image stabilization - which is a real plus - the sensor is twice as big and overall image quality may be better. My brother has both the A630 and A540 (similar to the A570 with the smaller sensor) and there really is quite a difference in overall image quality.

The advantage of "IS" might balance out the advatage of the larger sensor...

I don't have one, but i just went to ebay.com and it was on the homepage. I looked at it and it looks very good, i know it's really popular b/c i've heard a lot of good things about it.

I have one, and for the money, I think it is a great camera. The one thing I dislike is the door to the sd card and battery. Very flimsy and I am afraid it will break. The one thing I do like is the fact that you can put different lens on it. I saw a picture of one on flicker that had a telephoto lens about 8 inches long. (a little to much I think, but if you use your imagination, you goes to show how much fun you can have) The pixels are more than enough. Very clear pics. Your not going to find a better camera, unless you spend more.
