Who makes an all around better digital camera - Nikon or Canon?

Personally, Canon, but my Dad loved Nikon, I guess it gets into the old Ford vs. Chevy debate, what you like is what is best. Canon did win for the DReb XT in a few magazines over the Nikon though better sensor things like that, the only detractor really was the little viewscreen.

I work for a camera company....they are all the same it is a personal choice.

This is like asking, "Who is right, the Palestinians or the Israelis?". Just depends on who you ask. I am happy as a drunken clam with my canon rebel xt.

Mostly I would go with the Cannon. But make sure it is part of thier newer line of cameras. In the camera specs check to see if it has a DIGIC II Image Processor.

Canon has my vote.

Sony has the best all around digital camera. Go check out a review of the DSC-R1 to see what I'm talking about. Nikon point and shoot cameras are actually pathetic. Canon makes a few decent cameras but they aren't as good as the R1 (not even close) until you start to spend several thousand dollars on their professional SLR cameras and a high end lens. Canon dominates the professional SLR market while Sony clearly dominates the Prosumer market.

among these two ,I would say both are almost equally good,it depends what features you want in your camera.

each one has its own little feautre that makes it better...it is basically your opinion and if it looks good....i personally like nikon
