How to switch off the flash light of canon powershot a700 digital camera?

plz help me........

in the direction pad it is the top or up button double press and it will show a cross along the flash light. that is off. press it again to get to back.

one press goes to automatic flash
two presses goes to flash
three presses turns off the flash

good luck

Be ghetto and put a piece of electrical tape over it....

If you read your manual it tells you how to do that.
