I cant upload my pictures from my digital camera?

i have a canon digital camera and i wanted to upload the pictures from it onto my computer. i have a cord that i hook up to the camera and usually, almost everytime that is, a popup comes up showing how longer i have until the
pictures are uploaded. but i tried and nothing showed up.
are there any other ways to upload my pictures?

Just connect the camera to the computer, turn it on, navigate to the camera through My Computer, explore the device, and then drag and drop or copy and paste the images onto your desktop or into your destination folder.

Plug the cord into the computer and go to the option on your desktop: My Computer.

Then find the folder of the removable media which should be your camera... open that and it should give you a folder.

Keep clicking the folders until you get to your pictures.

Make sure your batteries are not dead and that you have the correct type of cord for your computer.

Older computers sometimes need adapters if you have a USB cord and no port.

If that doesnt work: You can also try support at a tech or computer store...

first u need to have a usb connector. If u have a usb connector u connect it to a slot in ur camera it usually shows a pictute the same on the one in ur camera, when u connect it a usb icon pops up in ur icons place beside the clock in ur comp and click on that and a window pops up and go to removable disk e and it will show pictures then lastly copy and paste ur pictures to my picture. Did you load any Canon software when you got your camera?

Are you looking in the right place for the photos? Sometimes they download into a folder that you didn't specify (default folder) Check the space available on your hard drive and then download some pictures. Check the space again. If the available space has decreased, the pictures were downloaded somewhere but to an area that you don't know about.

Finally, do a search for all files with a ".jpg" extension. See where a lot of the pictures are files. That could be your secret download place.

if you have a computer tower with the openings for ur memory card, just put the memory card in. if u dont have that, i would consider getting a tower with one. it is faster to download photos than thru a cable.
