How can you tell what Sigma lenses will work on a Canon digital camera if you havn't the camera with you. Is there a list of serial numbers that will help to avoid buying the wrong lens. I know UC lenses only fit film cameras. sigma lenses for canon cameras should say they have "canon fitment", or are Canon AF
They do the same lense in versions to fit many cameras... so make sure that you are getting one specifically for a canon camera. Hi Angela
,
You dont say what Canon camera you have,
I have the 350D and only use the Canon lens, if you connect a Canon ef fit lens to the 350 it increases the power of the lens by 1.6, so your 300mm becomes a 480mm,if you use zoom ef lens then they also increased, this does not happen with Sigma.
Any good photographic retailer will be only to happy to give you information on what lens will fit your camera, but if possible try to have your camera with you, then you can try the lens and see the results right away |
