What is the second good quality brand of digital camera after Canon?

I'm thinking about buying Olympus which is on sale right now.

Also Sony is making great digital cameras. I recently bought a Sony Cyber Shot dsc-s45 I only paid 150 for the camera it has a lot of features. for this one you are going to need a stick duo memory whit 1gb capacity that runs around 80 bucks.

Kodak is really good to in an affordable range. If your looking for more high end there is always Nikkon. They are worth it. Olympus are always good. One thing you want to consider before you purchase is if you are going to be using it for snapshots or still shots. You may want to play with the camera and see how fast it actualy captures the photo. Most digitals when you push the button, access the memory card, create a spot to save it, and then take the picture so it can take a few seconds to take the photo (bad for snapshots) but some when you push the button saves the photo instantly (just like a 35mm) and then sets the photo to the memory card.

Olympus is great, I'm thinking of buying one too. i want to get the E-500. Birdy

that would depend on what type of digital camera you are looking for, and what you will be needing it for. Nikon make some great cameras, but if you are looking at SLR, you should go for a Sigma lens, which are cheaper but deliver bautiful quality. In all event, most pros swear by Canon, but i have been hard put to ding a pro who really liked the olympus. if it is for home use, olympus is quite a reliable camera

Olympus has some great models. You really can't say that a particular brand always has the best however, because even brands like Canon and Nikon have made some models that are poor value for money.

I love the OLYMPUS ,camera some of the newer models arent the best so I stick with an older model.Seems like Most all are favourites and owners will swear by them...
