I'm considering buying this camera online. But I'd like to know if the battery charger plugs directly into the wall --or-- if there is a cord that goes from wall to charger. I want a camera with charger that plugs directly into wall since I travel and don't want to mess with the cord. Yes, the SD1000's battery charger plugs directly into the wall...no cord required.
The battery takes about 90 mins to charge, and a fully charged battery will allow approx 210 shots, so you will need to recharge it often. The manual shows two different chargers and says, "Battery charger model names and types vary by region."
The one you want, which plugs directly into the outlet, is CB-2LV. The one with a cord is CB-2LVE. The body of the charger looks the same on each model, but one has a power cord and the other has a flip-out plug. |
