Hi.hru.actually we are planning to buy a canon powershotG7 digital camera pixel is 10and zoom-6x isthisgood?

Yes its good,compared to the digital point and shoots that are out there. Now they do make these hybrid cameras,you know the ones that look like a cross between DSLR's and point and shoots,and a lot of them have bigger lens elements allowing for bigger optical zoom....say 10x...or 15x and these are great,but they are not as small as the point and shoots.I own the G7 and I love it. Its a very rugged camera with lots of features that I use,with lots of manual controls. But yes,this zoom is pretty good
