I purchased a Canon EOS 300V SLR film camera last year. Along with it I also purchased two sets of lenses both of the EF type. I now wish to buy a Digital SLR camera. Question is whether the film lenses are compatible with the Digital camera? All EF lenses are compatible with Canon Digital SLR cameras..as well as EF-S lenses. Hey, If you have any Canon SLR camera with 'EOS' label then u can use your lences with new Digital SLR. There is no difference in Lences used in both camera so dont worry you can use it with Digital SLR. Yes, but the effective focal length will be different. The sensor in a digital camera is smaller than a 35 mm film, so the effective focal length is longer - multiply by about 1.6. So, for instance, a 50 mm film lens will behave like an 80 mm film lens on a digital body. |
