Go for the canon - their noise reduction technology is slighly superior to sony. depending on the model, the shutter lag of canon may also be lower than sony (not all models tho)

Geez you must be tiny.

When it comes to digital cameras, I believe CANON is better than SONY. I own a CANON Digicam IXUS 400, it's been with me for 2 years now, and it hasn't let me down eversince.
