Canon A300 digital camera got wet and does not work. How can I make it work again? |
Camera was wet in the river water while rafting two weeks ago. If it was just plain water, let it dry and try it again. If it was any other liquid, like beer, soda, pool water, ocean water, etc, it might be ruined. Take it to a camera store and see what they say. If you send it in for repair, it won't be covered under your warranty, by the way. Good luck! I accidently dropped my Palm in a glass of water, and it worked fine after drying out. Hopefully it didn't get too much water! Take the batteries out too! Report It Moisture can be a camera's worst enemy. Take it to a camera repair shop and have them check it and give you an estimate for repair. its hard to say. Depends on liquid.... bez if it was just water ... let it dry completely .... then try .... but if it was something like sugar based liquid ... it depends... I've heard you can try to dry it out slowly (remove all batteries first) but baking it at extremely low heat in an oven over a long time. |
