I have a professional Canon Camera. How may I "upgrade" it to a digital camera? Anyway to install a CCD on it?

My camera now is a ELAN 7 Rebel, from Canon. I don't want to sell it way for the prices people are paying for her! I'd like to know if there's anyway to install a CCD or SCCD from any old 3 or 4 MPx camera that haven't all the capabilities my Canon has!

go and pick a decent DSLR body and it might be cheaper than thinking of installing a new digital sensor in ur camera
