Card Locked ! memory card on digital Canon camera?

The card is locked , it's a standard scan disk digital memory card for cameras, I can't figure out how I locked it or how to un lock it, in the meantime, I can't take any new pics etc. don't know where the users manual is either.

any ideas?

Take the card out of the camera. On the side of it is a little 'switch'. Flip the switch in the opposite 'unlock' position.
