Black and white?
Different colors?
My friends know how, but I have no clue.
How do you change the color? Press FUNC and see if your particular camera has a "My Colors" menu. Since there are a few different types, I'll print one that I know about and let you take it from there. Your camera may not have as much available.
Color Accent
This is described in the Shooting section of your advanced manual under "Changing Colors." This is a listing of the menu steps, but you might make out better looking in your manual at the pictures of the icons that go with these steps.
FUNC.Menu > Auto > Kids & Pets > [MENU] button > Color Accent > [FUNC SET] button > [DISP] button. Aim the camera so that the color you wish to retain remains in the center of the LCD monitor and press the <- button. (left arrow button) Press [DISP] to complete the setting and then shoot.
It says, "The specified color accent is retained even if the camera's power is turned off," and I don't know how to cancel it as I have not messed with this feature yet. Good luck!
Color Swap

Aim the camera so that the original color appears in the center of the LCD monitor and press the <- button. (left arrow button) Aim the camera so that the desired color appears in the center of the LCD monitor and press the -> button. (right arrow button) Press [DISP] to complete the setting and then shoot.
It says, "The specified color accent is retained even if the camera's power is turned off," and I don't know how to cancel it as I have not messed with this feature yet. Good luck!
You can alter the colors, contrast, and sharpness under "My Colors." Here are the descriptions from the owner's manual:
- Vivid - emphasizes the contrast and color saturation to record bold colors.
- Neutral - tones down the contrast and color saturation to record neutral hues.
- Sepia - records in old-fashioned sepia tones.
- B/W - records in black and white.
- Positive Film - makes red, blue or green more intense. It can produce intense natural-appearing colors like those obtained with positive film.
- Lighter Skin Tone - use this option to make skin tones lighter.
- Darker Skin Tone - use this option to make skin tones darker.
- Vivid Blue - use this option to emphasize blue tints. It makes blue subjects, such as the sky or ocean, more vivid.
- Vivid Green - use this option to emphasize green tints. It makes green subjects, such as mountains, new growth, flowers and lawns, more vivid.
- Vivid Red - use this option to emphasize red tints. It makes red subjects, such as flowers or cars, more vivid.
- Custom Color - use this option to adjust the contrast, sharpness or saturation settings, or the balance between red, green, blue and skin tones. It can be used to make subtle adjustments. Glad to help. Have fun with it! Report It
Some cameras have a menu item to change pics to sepia, black and white, etc. Look through the menus and see what's there.
If not, then you can do it in software. Photoshop or equivalent. In fact you can do a lot more! like above in the menu press the function button
go into my colors Does your digital have a WB (White balance) try that or try asking your friend or one of the sales-staff where you bought it. Do you have the Canon factory manual, it maybe a helpful place to start. |
