Which camera is good sony or canon? why?

i have a sandisk 4 GB card which is i think compatible for sony camera. but i have a cofusion about sony and canon.
which one is more good. and can you tell me why it is?

I think they are both good. Sony and canon both have good cameras...And i have a Canon SD850 IS..I like it very much..This camera is just perfect. It's small enough to fit in any small bag but also has great features on it. If you are interested in it, you can have a look at this deal to Canon SD850. It is on sale now..$215 instead of $300. A pretty price..

Sony A200. In-camera Image Stabilization. Uses every Minolta A-mount AF lens made since 1985. New Carl Zeiss line of lenses being released.

Canon XTi. No in-camera Image Stabilization. It has to be paid for with every lens you want to have with IS. Only certain lenses from Canon and the after-market lens makers (Tamron, Sigma) have AF and IS capability in the same lens - which you pay for with every lens.

Go to digitalcameraguide.com and read reviews of both cameras and decide for yourself. While there, you may as well look at the Pentax K20D.

I love sony. I've had several over the years, not because they've worn out, but because I love the ease of using one. There is barely anything that needs to be explained about most of the cameras, very self-explanatory. Canon, I had one years ago, and it seemed like the focus didn't work as well as I wish it would've.

you will get a different answer of everey person here, in the end it is a personal choice. They both make good quality cameras and both have great picture quality. In the end i would pick a brand and stick to it so that when you upgrade later on you can still use your old accessories. So as you already have a 4gb memory stick you are better off with a sony.

I personally like the canon alot more than the sony. i had a 10.1mp cybershot and the spring inside the shutter broke. turns out you have to send it to sony and it will cost at least $225. It's a flat rate for any problems except certians things. those "things" cost more. Also nobody will work on them either. it's sony or buy a new camera. i bought my girlfriend a Kodak easyshare. the camera takes amazing pictures but it saves a little slow. Canon has been known to make one of the best quality cameras since 1933. If that doesn't say it Im not sure what will.

The BEST camera I have EVER owned is a Canon Digital Rebel XTI 10.1mp OMG talk about the sharpest clearest pics ever! It's amazing! I love my camera! I would buy a canon over a sony anyday! And their warrenty dept ROCKS!

Sony is best. reliable and better advanced features. look out for deals and discounts from online stores like open2save.in and save urself some bucks on the deal.
