Any sugestions for how to get water out of a canon camera?!!? |
Ok so friday night I was camping out in a tent and when i woke up my phone (slvr) and camera (canon SD750 ELPH) were laying on a soaked blanket and i've been letting them dry out. the phone started to work this morning but soon after it started to flicker on and off again. i didn't realize that my camera and phone were wet until after i had tried turning them both on!! :[ so i imediatly took out my batteries and memory card and layed it on a vent and now i have it in a zip lock bag with a silica gel packet (however you spell it). is there any hope?? Dropping and drowning are the leading killers of digital cameras. Your Canon SD570 has become yet another statistic. Use it as a paperweight and begin shopping for your new camera. Take off the battery cover and let air get to the inside to help it dry out. don't keep it in a airtight bag. You can put it in a airtight bag when it's dry but not now until it dries out. An airtight bag will only cause more condensation and do more damage to your camera. Put it close to some place where there is a little It has been nice knowing you. |
