Which camera should I buy between 300-400$? |
I want to purchase only Sony,Nikon or Canon camera In that price range, I would stick with buying a top quality Point & Shoot camera. You can get a really good one in that range. I'm not sure where the other answerer was getting his figures from, but a new Canon Xs is going to run you at least $699 w/lens. The body alone is going for about $650! You aren't going to even get close to a DSLR in that price range, with the exception of a Nikon D40. A D40 w/.a kit lens can be purchased for about $470 or so, depending on where you look. And even that is out of your price range. I still say that you would be best off getting an excellent quality P&S camera for that money. And I would go with Canon first, and Nikon second in the P&S lineup. Sony has a few good P&S cams out that are decent as well. I suggest going to a good camera shop with a wide variety of P&S cams, and play with them for a few hours! Get a feel for them. DO your research on reputable review sites, and then make your decision based upon what seems best for your needs. After all. it's you who will be using it, so get whatever one feels and seems 'right' to YOU. Of course, taking along a memory card and taking some shots with various cams wouldn't hurt. But that is nearly impossible in many stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) due to the security devices they put on them nowadays - no access to the memory slot on many cameras, if not most with these devices on them. Better off going to a 'real' brick and mortar camera shop where they have the cams stored in a display case without these security devices. That way, you can put in a memory card, take some pics with each one you like, and then go home and view them on your computer. That way, you'll get a good feel for the image quality of each camera. I don't think it's wise to buy a camera without first taking it for a "test" drive. Just my opinion... Hi, Please go for NIKON (P80 ,D40.....)as SONY has problems with red and CANON isnt so feature & mega-pixel rich . Well, i recommend the newest canon dslr digital camera - Canon XS (1000d) |
