Canon cameras: A590IS and the canon A650IS; What is the diffenence between the two?

besides the mega pixel, need to use camera for business but am on a 220.00 budget. Checked on line stores to purchase, but most had bad ratings with the BBB. Can you recommend store where i can get a good price?

I have the A590IS. It's very easy to use, and offers good image quality for the price. I don't think you would find a better camera at that price point. It's very small and easy to take with you. The A650IS is twice as expensive, and you're likely going to see better image quality in that camera. Also the A650IS is heavier and not as compact. You can fit the A590IS in a jacket pocket easily, but I'm not sure you can do that (comfortably at least) with the A650IS.

So far I've taken about 1000 shots using the A590IS and I can tell you that it's a pleasure to use. It's a very advanced camera with lots of features. Pictures turn out sharp, and detailed. The white balance adjustment is great. I like the simplicity of the menus. The body is all plastic but it feels solid for a camera at this price point. Flash pictures are pleasing and exposed properly. Battery life is extended to over 300 shots with rechargeable NiMH.

The only negative I can tell you is that the video mode records at a choppy 20fps at highest resolution (640x480). This is a step down from its predecessor the A570IS.
