Digital Camera: how can i get better sounds? |
I have a canon digital camera ( note: not video camera it jst takes videos) and the picture is usually always good but the sound picks up way to much backround.. how can imake it better. is the only way to but those hunormous miikes used in tv shows? If not how Since there is on jack for an external mic, you are stuck with the tiny mic in the camera. The only thing left is to control the background noise and hope for the best Most digital cameras which can take video have horrible microphones that are built-in so you are stuck with what they built. If you have an external audio input, then you CAN use a higher grade microphone. Or, you could elect to do surgery and add an external input yourself, which will void any warranty you have, but will give you the ability to use a better microphone. You will need the services of a good electronics technician to add an audio input as it is not a simple do it yourself kind of thing. There is another alternative, do it the way the pros do, with a separate audio recorder and then later use a video editing package to add your external audio recording in place of the recorded soundtrack picked up by the camera. Your soundtrack then becomes as good as your audio equipment. |
