Digital cameras??????

Ok i have this canon powersot A450 camera , and i bought it like 1 month ago . Now iv bought 10 batteries for it and when i buy a new one it finishes in a week ? what kind of battery stays for a longgg time??????

Go to Walmart and buy a recharger and 4 batteries..
That will solve all your problems..

I've had good luck w/rechargeable batteries for my camera. I bought a cheap ($10-$15) deal at Wal-Mart that included a wall plug-in charger w/4 AA batteries. I seem to get alot of use out of them before having to recharge them. It'll save you alot of $$$ in the long run. Hope it helps!

Yeah digital camera with Flash will use lots of batteries. Easier to get rechargeable Duracell batteries and charge them when they are done. Get four and circulate them.

I've heard that NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries hold a good charge.

2 x AA batteries (Alkaline or NiMH compatible, Alkalines supplied
鈥?NiMH charger optional

you need to get rechargeables
they recharge up to 1000 times
any store will have them
get ones that say 2500 or 2700 on the side

Digital cameras need lots of power to run, and ordinary batteries are just not good enough, and once they are drained, you throw them away.

The most cost effective type of battery is rechargeable NiMH. Your camera uses 2 AA size batteries, so your best option is to buy 4 batteries and a charger, and that way you will always have a spare set. Energizer is a good brand, which makes NiMH batteries in 2700mAh power.

But, these batteries will not hold their charge if not used for any amount of time. They will actually discharge at the rate of approx. 1/2-1% per day when not used..so always make sure you charge them at least one day or on the day that you intend to use them.

Another option...is to buy non rechargeable lithium batteries. They are fairly expensive, but they last a long time (up to 600 shots or so, depending on your camera usage) and they hold their charge when not used.
Energizer make them and they're called 'e2 Lithium'. They are perfect as an emergency backup or if you're a casual camera user or if you have no access to electricity to recharge your other batteries.
good luck...

Everyone covered the battery issue very well. Now you have to learn how to conserve the batteries when using the camera. The biggest energy hog is the LCD. If you have a viewfinder, use it to compose your images and only turn on the LCD if you are unsure of the shot. Then turn it right off. The other big energy user is the auto-focus and zoom motor in the lens. Keep that in mind and turn off the camera between shooting sessions and your batteries will last a lot longer.

It's nice people are telling you to use rechargables. It saves you money, but if your burning through battery power like weekly, you could also burn out your camera as rechargables do that, they don't have a limitless life.

For Energizer I love using the Titanium ones. They cost a little more, but are so worth it and last a while. I have a Nikon D200 and can shoot 700-800 pics before having to replace them. ther is also the Lithium which are a little more than the Titanium, they last longer.

For Duracell you can get Ultra or the Power Pix.

For either one, stay away from the regular cheaper batteries. They do burn out fast.
