I am looking to buy a used Canon SLR (low end) and found those "too good to be true" sites. So, besides Ebay, Amazon and the obvious answers like that, do you know of any good websites? I suggest B&H Photo:

Many MANY camera and electronic stores on-line are from Brooklyn NY and are scams. They sell for awhile, then shut down and open again under a new name. The usual thing is, you place the order for, say, a camera, way below normal retail. The order appears fine, in stock, blah blah. Then you get a phone call, they try to sell you a bunch of stuff, like batteries or cables, sometimes the stuff that is already in the box. At WAY WAY inflated prices, If you refuse, the best case scenario is they are suddenly out of stock. Worst case, they charge you a lot and you will never see the stuff on your doorstep.
EBay might be all right to buy from, just make sure your seller has good feedback (hopefully from selling similar items) and pay using a credit card through PayPal. Cameta auctions is a good seller on eBay.
Good luck finding your camera! Just give it a little thought before buying a second hand Digital SLR. After all why would people sell them?
1) They are so old they are way out of date. No more support from manufacturer. Small megapixels counts, the first ones were 3MP and less.
2) They are ex professional cameras. They may have frame counts in the tens or even hundreds of thousands, after which they may develop sticky shutters etc.
3) They are abused children. Someone is selling it because of some niggling problem that they are hoping you won't discover in time to give them grief over.
As a photography enthusiast, I still have every camera I ever bought. Even the one camera I bought that I didn't like I still keep because I don't want anyone else to inherit its problems.
