I need help with videos?

ok i took a pic from my canon digital camera, and now it wont let me upload to YouTube cuz it isnt the right format. how do i make it the right format?

You can't upload pictures on YT, only videos.

This does not sound right. One of the main reason YOUTUBE has become popular is because it accepts many, many, different types of video formats. I think your Canon Digital Camera should be making .MOV or .AVI format, but no matter what format your camera is giving you, it SHOULD still upload to youtube. I cant figure out why you would get a message like that, that is just plain friggin weird! Your video should be uploaded from your camera to your computers hard drive, then uploaded to youtube.com from your computers hard drive, EASILY, and without this type of problem. I say you should direct your question to youtube support.

I agree with John P...I can't understand why you cannot upload your camera video to YouTube. Canon videos are recorded in .avi format, which YouTube will accept, and then it will even convert it for you to Flash format video.

Just remember though, YouTube have a 100MB movie file limit. So, you should check the size of your video first.
Canon video recorded at the best resolution is usually about 500MB for only 4 minutes of video, so yours could easily be much too large.
If it is a large size, then you should convert it prior to uploading to YouTube.
You can use Windows MovieMaker, which is built into Win Xp...to convert your file.
I suggest you read the help file in MovieMaker, so you understand how to do it.
