Whats the difference between....?

I am buying a digital camera, and its between 2. one takes an xd picture card. is that the same as taking a memory card? or will i have to get a new type of card? the 2 cameras are http://www.shopzilla.com/9L--Casio_Exili... and http://www.shopzilla.com/9L--Fujifilm_Fi...

xD is just a type of memory card. Here's a good explanation of all the various types of memory cards that are currently available: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_card

Just be sure to buy the type of memory card that is compatible with you camera (or other electronic devices).

Also, the price of xD cards are comparable SD cards. So, you should not let the type of memory card be the deciding factor in choosing a camera - select the camera that has good photo quality, and the number of megapixels, zoom lens, etc...that suits your needs.

I would go with the casio.
it takes a sd card - which is very common.

If I were you I would buy a camera that has SD (Secure Digital) Card in it. Because it is most common and there are many brand of them out there with competitive price, while if you buy the one that has an Xd card; it will be hard for you since these Xd cards are only manufactured by Fujifilm and Olympus, therefor you can only use them in Fujifilm and Olypus cameras.
If you buy the ones that are SD cards, you can use the SD cards in different items besides a camera, or you can use them in different cameras too, and they are more common being sold for cheap with high quality.
