Is my camera broken?

i took like a ton of pictures on vaca. i went to hand my camera to my friend and we dropped it and it landed on wood floor. when we turne it back on again the screen its not cracked but when you turn it on its like white and fuzzy. you cant take pictures. so when i got home i plugged it in and i thought the pictures i took would still be there. well only 5 of them are. how can i get them bakc?? oh and its a digital casio exilm... =[

It's broken. The only reliable way to get it working again is to get it fixed. The pictures should be still there if they were put onto a memory card. I don't know why they might be deleted unless when you dropped it, the camera processor corrupted some of the picture files. In that case you might use one of the various recovery utilities to try ot get them back, but it isn't looking good.

Try to download the pictures using a memorycard reader. That will bypass any current problems with the camera. Unfortunately, most cameras under $400-500 are not repairable after a drop. Most likely a circuit board inside was cracked during the impact. At $70 or more per hour labor, plus parts, it's probably time to find a new camera.
