How many pictures will a 1GB memory card hold on a 7.2 megapixel camera? |
I'm thinking about buying a Casio EX-Z75SR 7.2MP digital camera. My old camera is 5.1MP and I know that the higher the MP the less pictures it will be able to hold because of the size. Can anyone help me? And also, if anyone has this camera, do you like it? Thanks so much! Depends on what resolution you set it to. 1024 maybe 300. 640 probably 500-600. I set mine at 640. I get about 600 on my 1gb stick. The number of pictures depends on the size of the file you use the maximum setting. Normally, the owner manual or manufacturer site should give you how many pictures you can take on the card. You should be able approx 200 using maximum setting but if you take movie it will be less. u can adjust the pictures to a smaller size so it wont use so much memory space. u only need about 3.2mp to get a claer picture. unless u r going to zoom in ur picture many times or need very fine details. Here is a link to compare the size of the photo with the size of a memory card and an indicator as to roughly how many you can store on each http://www.card-media.co.uk/memory+info.... My personal recommendation is not to use the highest resolution available as you will not benefit from the increased size of the picture on a standard printed photo or monitor. Your only benefit in doing so would be the ability to print very large pictures or be able to blow up various parts of the picture without a loss of quality. If you do neither of these then all you will do is take up a huge amount of storage space on your computer when you transfer them. It will also create problems if you try to email large photos to people. |
