I broke my camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok, so I got a digital camera, and it is EXILIM casio:the unexpected extra. I took it to the mall, and I took pictures. My mom was looking through the pictures, and it was fine. BUT, now it is not working. I turn it on, and it makes a weird buzzing noise over and over for a while, and it stops. And while the lens is still out, the display picture is blank. And nothing happens. And when i turn the on/off button again, the lens closes, and says LENS ERROR. What happened? What is happening? How can I fix it? Is it broken? How do I tell my parents? IM DEAD! Thanks for all ur help!

O, yeah, and also, it also says RETRY POWER ON, and YES, I DID fully charge it! HELP!!!

It seems that there have been some extra pressure on lens while it was opening OR when it was opened. This pressure has mis-aligned the fine levers within the lens, which is preventing circuitry to properly fire. If it is within warranty, take it to authorized service shop after locating its address from the net. Otherwise, find out a good camera repair shop, they will open the lens and fix it for about $ 20.00. And yes, tell your parent right away, before you make the problem too big to share. I hope they will understand, most parents do.

Is it new?? If so, the warranty should still cover it... You can take out your memory stick and have the camera fixed and it will be good as new...

If it is not new... I figure it will cost like $25-50 to fix it... depending on the damage.

Have you tried changing the batteries? Sometimes problems are as simple as that.
