Ok, So I have to reset the date and time on my digital camera everytime I turn it on? |
Everytime I turn on my Casio Exilim EX-Z60, I gotta reset the date, time n all that. I usually just hit menu to skip that, but still itz annoying having to do that everytime I turn the thing on. Is there a way to fix this? I looked it up on the casio website, but all it says is that there isn't a seperate battery for the clock and that itz probably a result of having the camera off for more than 30 hours. But it does this even if itz off for five seconds. Any help would really be appreciated. Gracias. It uses a Lithium Ion Np-20 battery Many compact camera models use a small capacitor instead of a battery to store energy for the on-board memory. When these capacitors are damaged or wear out the symptom you describe will occur. The solution is to have the capacitor replaced or live with the problem. If you can get the technical specs for the capacitor it is probably only a few dollars to buy. i would just ditch it and buy a new one. the camera has an internal watch battery If your camera does not use a separate battery for time and date, then it probably stores some of the energy from the batteries for use when you're changing them. |
