| *SoulEyes Photography>>>Casio Digital Camera |
So, I accidently dropped my brand new digital camera, and now well, it's not working so great.? |
I have a Casio Z60 and I accidently dropped it. Now whenever I take a picture the color is weird and seems overexposed and there are lines running through the picture. I changed my ISO to a very low number (50..) and changed the focus to PF. The lines are hardly noticeable now, and only acutally show up when the camera is focused on people (the color gets funky too). I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what happened to it (chipped something I'm guessing) and what settings on the camera could help me make it less noticeable till it's repaired. And yes, I have a warrenty. I can't say what happened exactly, especially without examining the camera itself. But it makes sense that people are where the problem shows up. People are the hardest subject to take a good picture of. It has to do with the fact that skin has a variety of tones, and the surface is irregular, what with curves and ears and noses. That puts some parts of the face is shadow and some brighter. So if the camera is going to have a problem, that's where you will see it first. well hopefully there is a warrenty for it. Find out if there is one or did u buy one? If not then see how much it would cost to get it repaired. Do you have a warranty? Good one, Joe If there are no signs of damage, repacked it and return it for an even exchange or your money back. What the hell? You drop the camera, it doesn't work. Not a hard concept to understand. Nice going! Try going to ur local CAsio dealer for servicing. The impact may have jarred or damage the imaging chip. If not, try to find the exposure setting, not ISO and set it to a lower setting, ie shutter to make a smaller hole while taking photos to reduce light entry. Or ur shuttle may be down itself... If the lines are crisp lines that are a single color and pixelated then there may be a problem with the CCD. If the lines are blurry or fuzzy then it may be an optical problem. A drop might force an element of the lens out of position. It might be the infrared cut filter has moved out of alignment from the shock. CCDs are sensitive to IR and need to have it blocked or else the colors will look strange (since humans can't generally see IR). Infrared refracts differently from visible light so it might cause a TTL (through the lens) focusing system to focus improperly. Either the TTL is focussing on the IR and the visible light is blurry or the TTL is focussing normally but the IR is not focused making it blurry at those wavelengths. Warranty? You dropped the camera, you should be thankful that it works at all |
