My digital camera broke?

I just got a brand new Casio Elixim 5.0 for my birthday and upon using it for the very first time, it fell on the lens part and now it's broken and won't even turn on. I took it to some camera shops and they said that I might as well buy another one since it would probably be more expensive to try to fix it. I am considering sending it in to the Casio saying that it malfunctioned and hopefully the warranty will cover it. What are my chances?

Your chances are very slim...to none. I think you should have tried to return it to the store and said that it was messed up when you got it. The people at the warranty shop for Casio will inspect it completely and tell you "BETTER LUCK next time!" Good luck to you buddy!

well you don't know until you try the worst thing they can say is no we will not fix it then you'll have to buy another one.

Any obvious damage to the exterior of the camera? If not then you may have a good chance they'll fix it.

In any case, I don't think you have anything to loose by sending it in. Even if they do charge, you can find out how much they want to charge before deciding. The camera shops may just wnat to sell you another camera.

sorry, you broke it and they will be able to tell that the fault was not in the manufacturing of the camera. Better buy yourself another camera.
