My NEW Digital Camera Is Taking Awful Pictures?

I just bought a Casio Exilim EX-270 7.2 MP, and I turned it on, hooked it up, and set quality to fine and quality to HQ and everytime i take a picture i get these ugly lines throughout the picture. I would love any help, I hope it isn't the camera, but if it is....it is.

That is called "banding". Return the camera and get a replacement. It is a manufacturing flaw

return it for a new one
