deffinately.
i have a casio exilim but i mean sony cyber shot is the best...from what i have looked at....kodak is decent for an amateur...olympus is good...but sony cyber shot is the best..
it has a very fast shutter time....high mega pixels...and it can take good clear pictures when you arent focused.
its the best for a little digital camera in my opinion. Here is a list from Steve's Digicam of the best 6-10 Megapixel Digital cameras:
Canon Powershot G7
* Sony Cybershot N2
Kodak Easyshare C875
Pentax Optio M20
Canon Powershot A550
Sony Cybershot W70
Fujifilm FinePix F20
Casio Exilim EX-Z700
Olympus SP-320
Canon Powershot SD630
Panasonic DMC-LZ5
The Sony N2 you listed is only one they liked enough to put in the list above.
The Sony would be a very good camera, but keep in mind it does use a Memory Stick instead of the more common Secure Digital (SD) memory.
If you have a Sony PSP it is the same memory.
Another consideration is that it uses a proprietary battery instead of rechargeable AA batteries.
Choosing a camera also depends on what your intended use is, some are better outdoors or indoors, some have better flash, some are better for action, some have a better optical zoom.
The cameras you have listed are good all around type cameras given the 3x optical zoom and point & shoot models. The 2 Sony's are good cameras. B&H Photo has the Sony DSC-W55 (pink color) for $199.95 + shipping.
The Sony DSC-N2 is a better camera but quite expensive. And if you don't enlarge more than say 5X7 or 8X10 I doubt if you'll see much of a difference. Beside the six proposed selections, I personally own this "best buy" ultra compact Nikon Coolpix L10 digital camera which I highly recommend for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $119 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.]
