I've been using digital cameras for a few years now and have yet to figure this out. I'm currently using a Casio Exilim EX-Z70. Is there a way where I can set the image pixel dimensions on the actual camera? When I open the files into Photoshop they're huge, sometimes 2000+ pixels wide. I've messed with the settings on my camera thinking I was adjusting the right setting, but nothing changed.
If this isn't possible, is there a way to select all my photos and resize them together? So I don't have to resize 200+ photographs indiviually? I don't see directions for your camera, but I found another "Z" model and assume the menu structure is the same.
Go to the "Quality" menu. Scroll down to the first item, if the highlight is not there already, called "Size." Push the right side of the multiselector button. You should see a new menu with various sizes to choose from. Just scroll to the one you want and click to the right again to save it. Maybe you push the center button marked "SET" to save it, though.
You will be given various options in either pixel dimensions or file size. Your camera can save full size (3072 x 2304) or 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480 sizes. They might be labeled as 7MP, 5MP, 3MP, 2MP and VGA. Haha - you should have tried it before you chose me as the best answer to see if it worked. :-) I am pretty sure that's how your camera works, though. If not, it's a start... Report It
