Digital Camera Question...?

I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z60 camera and i was wondering if when i plug my camera into my computer and just do nothing with it, is it charging? because it came with a charger but you have to take the battery out and put it in that to charge it. so could i just charge it by leaving it plugged into my computer?

most digital camera's do not have that option. I am new to Casio (they just started getting them in my store) and so I could be wrong.

A majority of the time, when the camera is plugged into the computer, it is reading data from it and thus not charging it, but taking power from it. unless it states in the manual that it does charge like iPods do, then assume it will not. That is the very case with my Nikon P4.
