My camera went throught the washing machine. Is there any hope? |
Its an Casio Exlim. You can try drying it with a hair dryer, or leave it for a few days so that it can dry completely. Then try switching it on again. If the electronics in the camera aren't short circuit the first time u turn it on, then there may be some chance it will still work. The thing with electronic gadgets is that you shouldn't switch it on when it is wet, because the electric power from the batteries will short cicuit it. No. Time for a new one. Open the battery compartment and blow dry the hell out of it! If you dry the circuits it may be able to jump start itself again. You blew all hope when you tried turning it on. Sometimes, you can rescue a wet camera by removing the battery right away and leaving it to dry for at least 3 days. Turning it on in while wet will fry circuitry. Water and electronics don't get along very well. Time for a new camera. for your sake, I hope it still has life. R.I.P. Casio Exilim. You can use it as a paperweight. hmmm.. dry it and see...but usually it stand no chance... We can only hope and pray that your camera will survive, but I think you should check the washing machine for quarters because you will have to buy a new camera. |
