Casio Exilim EX-S10 camera owners? |
do you have to take the battery out to charge it? i read a review that said you have to do this and therefore you lose the time and date settings every time u take out the battery. is this true? yes.. that's true. This is my 5th (5th generation) Casio Exilim and I would have, without a doubt, given this camera a 5 star review if it wasn't for the fact the ONLY WAY TO CHARGE THE BATTERY is to take it out and stick it in the travel charger.The battery doesn't come out easy making the process tediously annoying and then every time you re-insert it you have to go through the process of resetting the date & time. It makes me want to chuck it out the window!Casio stated there are no known plans to offer a desktop cradle charger (unlike all the previous Exilms). This is such a huge step backwards that I'm actually selling my brand new EX-S10 on ebay tonight!For this reason I highly recommend NOT BUYING this camera but could recommend the Exilm EX-S880 as an alternative.P.S. The "Best Shot" mode doesn't store after shut off so if your at a party at night (etc) everytime you turn the camera on you have to reselect the night mode. A sad feature loss. |

There are so many good cameras out there that I am puzzled why you would want a Casio. Kodak has one that has a 10X zoom and the picture quality is top notch. Last time I looked Wall mart had them ... Links please? The casio doesnt record at 6MP @ 60 frames per second surely? 1200fps - no dont believe this - the shutter speed would have to be 1250th or faster - how big would the chip need ... sorry it needs repaired contact casio.com ...With most cameras, there's a small watch battery that saves the settings - check your specific model's manual, but it's usually tucked away behind something in the main battery compa... Did you try with freshly charged batteries? ...It does have a video mode. I have this same camera and bought a similar model for my kids. My kids' model specifically had Youtube stickers to advertise the video mode. If you read all the ... It is most likely shot, the power switch would need to be replaced. Since it is digital, it should have a USB interface, hook it up to your computer and see what it does. If it works, you know the ... If it has a 5 minute limit, then its a 5 minute per clip, then you can record another 5 minute clip. a 1gb card should be able to hold about 40 minutes worth of video ... |
