Is it worth it to get my camera fixed?

My little Casio Exilim EX-Z60 6MP point and shoot is busted. While using it to take a picture, I accidentally dropped it after getting rammed in the shoulder by a jogger (don't get me started). Now the lens that comes out when you turn the power on is bent, so the camera won't turn on anymore and the lens won't go in or out.

How much would something like this cost to repair? Is it worth it, or should I just get a new one? I bought it two years ago and paid about $180 for it. There are a couple of repair shops where I live, but they're hard to get to, so I thought I'd check here first to see if anyone had any input.

Thanks.

I'm sorry you broke your camera.

Unfortunately, due to its age, it really isn't worth repairing. There have been numerous improvements since you bought it so you may as well begin shopping for its replacement.

When you get your new camera, use the strap that comes with it to keep it attached to you and lessen the chance of dropping it.

looks like you would possibly be paying half the cost of the camera to get it fixed. depending on where you live you might have to send it elsewhere. by paying for the shipping to and back from that shop, and the amount of time it took to fix plus any other fixtures. i would say go for it. but hey if you have extra money in your pocket go get a new one.

i would say it would just as cheap to get a new one as repaired.
actually might get a better one since they are always improving them.
i took my 35mm in for repairs when i got it back, i could have bought a new body for the repair cost. and the repair only lasted about 6 months and jammed up again.

Its not worth fixing it and for that much money u can buy some
good camera these days.

get a new camera

yer if you like it go for it
