I am going to buy a digital camera.Warranty? |
Will the camera come with a manufactures warranty(no additional charges when purchasing the camera?) wheras if I break it then I can send it to the company and they will fix it for free? if so, then how long would it be?....the camera is a casio exilim ex-s10. If you are careless with your camera or have children that might break it then I would suggest getting an extended warranty that covers accidents. You can usually buy multiple years on the warranty but gets much more expensive as you go up. Most companies will allow you to renew your extended warranty that you have purchased after each year. I would suggest doing this especially with small point and shoot digital cameras. Most people tend to replace those cameras after a few years as the technology gets better. You don't want to regret getting a 5 year warranty on a camera that you may only keep for 3. The standard warranty just covers defects in the camera. You can buy an additional warranty for one or two more years, depending what the store offers. |
