Last night I thought I'd do something I'd never done before. I went looking for a copy of XP that I could get cheap... Turns out I was lured(??) into a proposition to agree to a few advertiser's services. Such as business card printing (250 cards 'free' + the $5 shipping), School online classes, block buster trial offers etc etc. Nowhere did it even say it was a registered version of XP., but if I agreed to approximately 4 advertisers offers I would get the " MS Windows XP Professional with Service Pack "
I've been perfectly satisfied with running Windows-Me, but now I want to download my movies from my digital camera. I can't seem to find a compatible program that will read my video and then play it back. I want to download my folksongs I've written over 25 years onto Youtube.
I'm sure I might be getting tons of junk mail and phone solicitatioins, but I alredy get that. In fact I NEVER give my personal info out and I STILL get more crap than other people I know!
Help! I need XP Hey I know all about Bill Gates... I wasn't born yesterday. The fact that they can send pop-ups and spam accross an operating system is news to me. It could be legit, I just hated spending an hour and a half looking at crap I didn't want. You haven't heard, "If it's too good to be true it probably is"?
If you accept WinXP for free, you will pay for it with SPAM, pop-ups, junk.
WinXP is not free. How do you think Bill Gates got to be the richest man on the planet?
